Quiri has been awarded by TechnipFMC to supply Autolock hydraulic cylinders for the BSC system, installed on top rigid riser structure, hydraulic system unit, and associated ancillaries as the down line used for operations.

Located in Angola, Kaombo is a deep offshore project, operated by Total. It is dedicated to develop oil deposits spread across 6 different fields. The fields are connected via 300 km of subsea pipelines to two FPSO units.
Quiri has been awarded by TechnipFMC to supply Autolock hydraulic cylinders for the BSC system, installed on top rigid riser structure, hydraulic system unit, and associated ancillaries as the down line used for operations.

Our equipment is used on a BSC (Bend Stiffener Connector) system, between the riser and the flexible jumper bend stiffener, installed between 150 and 200 meters water depth.
Autolock cylinders allow to preload, and maintain the force of the bend stiffener fixation during the 20 years of field life, at 200m maximal water depth.
Thanks to Quiri HPU, downline and ancillaries, all connections and tensioning operations are operated from installation vessel, without any diver intervention.
For this contract Quiri supplies :
• 118 cylinders were delivered (29 cylinders 20t and 89 cylinders 60t)

• automatics HPU (hydraulic power units with PLC control),

• downlines, connection and accessories.
